Google will enforce mandatory developer identity verification on all GMS-certified Android devices beginning September 30, 2026, initially across Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. The Android Developer Verifier service blocks installation of apps from unregistered developers across all distribution channels. Organizations with enterprise-distributed internal APKs, MDM-pushed tools, or open-source apps from unregistered developers face operational disruption if developer registration is not completed before the enforcement date.
