A CrowdStrike-commissioned survey found 94% of enterprise respondents suffered cloud intrusions resulting in data exposure or exfiltration, with three systemic failure categories — incomplete multi-cloud visibility, detection latency measured in hours, and fragmented tooling — explaining how intrusions convert to exfiltration events. Two China-nexus threat actors, MURKY PANDA and GENESIS PANDA, are identified with TTPs directly aligned to these visibility gaps. While the survey originates from a vendor with commercial interest, the structural problems it describes are consistent with independent industry observations and warrant immediate posture assessment.
