An earlier version of this article reported that Anthropic had restored the Claude Fable 5 API on June 19, 2026 with elevated fallback rates and new benchmark scores, and offered developer guidance based on that. That premise was incorrect. The restoration could not be substantiated and was contradicted by Anthropic’s own status page, which as of June 22, 2026 lists Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 as still suspended under a U.S. export-control directive. No restoration had been announced.
