A major Asian telecom is now a significant AI investor. Singtel Innov8 launched a US$250 million AI Growth Fund on March 13, 2026, targeting growth-stage AI companies globally. The fund brings Innov8’s total managed capital to US$500 million, adding to its existing US$250 million evergreen fund.
The new fund targets AI companies working across customer engagement, network operations, cybersecurity, IT automation, and enterprise AI platforms. The focus areas reflect Singtel’s operational priorities as a telco group, but the growth-stage mandate and global scope indicate Innov8 is positioning itself as a meaningful player in international AI venture capital, not just a strategic investor in companies that serve its parent.
Edgar Hardless, CEO of Singtel Innov8, described the fund as providing “strategic access to transformative AI technologies at a pivotal stage of growth.” Innov8 is also collaborating with NVIDIA on the Digital InfraCo Centre of Excellence for Applied AI, providing additional context for its focus on infrastructure-adjacent AI sectors.
For AI founders at the growth stage seeking capital from non-Western institutional investors, Singtel Innov8’s expanded mandate is worth tracking.
