An EOL F5 BIG-IP appliance (v15.1.x, end-of-life December 31, 2024) served as the initial access point in a confirmed multi-stage attack chain that progressed to Active Directory compromise and Azure tenant access. No patch is available or will be provided for EOL hardware. Organizations running any BIG-IP v15.1.x instance — especially internet-facing — face an unpatched, permanently exploitable entry point that F5 will not remediate.
