Google issued an emergency Chrome update on June 11, 2026 addressing an actively exploited zero-day with a CVSS 9.5 memory corruption profile affecting all desktop Chrome versions prior to the June 11 release across Windows, macOS, and Linux. No CVE identifier had been assigned at publication time. Any organization with unpatched Chrome installations faces immediate risk of device compromise through drive-by compromise — no user interaction beyond visiting a malicious page is required. Chromium-based browsers including Edge, Brave, and Opera share the underlying engine and may require independent patching.
