The Asin Android spyware campaign targets Arabic-speaking journalists, OSINT researchers, and human rights practitioners via trojanized APKs distributed through Facebook and Telegram, bypassing app store vetting entirely. The spyware harvests contacts, call logs, location data, and audio from compromised devices, enabling surveillance of sensitive investigations and source exposure. No CVE has been assigned and no patch addresses this threat; the attack vector is social engineering and sideloading.
