Which PMI Certification Is Right for You?

Project Manager
3-5 Years
The PMP ($555) is the world’s most recognized PM credential. Requires 36 months leading projects (with a 4-year degree) and 35 hours of PM education.
IT Manager transitioning to PM

Recertification & Renewal

PMP certification requires 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) per 3-year cycle. At least 35 PDUs must be in education and 25 in giving back. PMI charges a $60 renewal fee for members ($150 for non-members). PDUs can be earned through courses, webinars, conferences, and volunteer work.
